How To Request Assistance

To request assistance, please open a ticket on the Accessibility Intake webpage or send an email to digitalaccessibility@tamu.edu.

Please include:

  • Your name
  • Course code of the course
  • Canvas course code. If not in Canvas, please supply a link to the location of the file (Google Drive, One Drive, etc.).

Services

The Office of Distance & Digital Education assists Texas A&M faculty and support staff with accessibility remediation of their instructional content to promote compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). There is no charge for the service.

File Remediation

Student workers are available to assist in course remediation efforts for the following file types:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • PDF*
  • LaTex (Limited/no Beamer files)

Video Captions

Captions can be created for instructor-created videos stored in Canvas and not previously stored on YouTube.

Out of scope for captioning services:

  • Videos stored on YouTube, Vimeo, or any other online streaming service
  • Videos created by faculty who are not employed by Texas A&M

Training and Consultations

  • In-person and virtual training sessions
  • Individual accessibility consultations for course content housed in Canvas
